I am a 40+ year old first time mother. This part of my life was not scripted nor planned. Our plan was to send my stepson away to college and move to some place warm...and we'd ride off into the sunset hand in hand (with wine glasses in the other hand).

But life has a funny way of throwing you curveballs...and this was one.

And it has been a wonderful curveball.

I'm a relocated small town Pennsylvania girl who came to the big city and met the love of my life.

I have a stepson in high school and a wonderful husband who spends a lot of time working and traveling. Oh yea, we have an 85 lb dog who was my first child (he was planned and part of the script!).
